Happy Birthday Kevin!

Dalton loves birthday cake, and always helps Kevin blow out the candles. Dalton is a special friend to Kevin and they like to do things together.

Last Saturday Paul, Amanda and Tory were camping up a Dry Fork, and they invited us up for supper. It was lots of fun and we had really good food, potatoes and chicken cooked in the Dutch ovens, and smores. Yummy!

There was a yellow cat that kept hanging around, then it went up the tree, so Paul climbed the tree to get it out. Tory named the cat "Thomas".

Josh Graham Memorial 5K Run/Walk

On September 10, 2011, Kevin, Christy, Kali, Dalton and Jennifer was in a 5K. It was in memory of Josh Graham. He was Kevin and Christy's friend who died from cancer. His birthday is September 11, so they have it around his birthday. Last year they had 35 people run in the race and this year they had over 250. Kali and Dalton both got first in their age groups. Dalton was really proud of his first place medal and had to show it to everyone.

When Dalton could see the finish line, he took off running, and ran to the end, leaving everyone behind.

Christy's Birthday...the big 35!

March 13th was Christy's 35th Birthday. She is such a special part of our family, we are so thankful for her sweet spirit.

July 5, 2010--The Parade

Sarah was in the July 5th Parade. She does color guard for the marching band. We had a real fun weekend, and after three days of celebrating we are worn out. But it was fun while it lasted.

On July 4th it had rained and was cold, but we went to the fireworks anyway. We wrapped up warm and the fireworks were great.

Kevin, Jennifer and Kali decided to run the Neola 5K on July 3. They had a good time and finished the race, with pretty good times.

The Last Day Of School--2010

"Summer's here! Another year of school is at end.

We've learned a lot, and grown a lot, and made a lot of friends.

For all of you that had doubts...Yes Casey is graduating!

Sarah just finshed 9th grade, next year she will be in high school.

Kali and her friends decided to wear tutus on the last day of school.

Maybe it is because dance has been over for a week, and they are having withdrawls.

So Kali made her tutu and it turned out really cute....and best of all...

She survived 6th grade...so much drama!

Northeastern Area Special Olympics

On May 20, 2010 we had our area Special Olympics for track and field events. It was a warm sunny day, and we had lots of fun. Besides doing the races, Kevin and Christy did the softball throw, and the standing long jump.

Kevin getting one is his medals. He got 2nd in the 50 m and 2nd in the 100 m. Kevin was also in the 4 X 100 meter relay, and his relay team got first.

This year the Special Olympics Torch Run seemed to be bigger and better than ever. We had people from the Uintah County Sherriff Department, Naples and Vernal Fire Departments, and the Vernal Police Department, and the people from Wendy's were all involved. Jennifer and Dalton ran it with Kevin. Dalton was excited because he knew when they got to Wendy's they would get a frosty. The Sheriffs department uses this to raise money for Special Olympics.

Grandma & Grandpa decided to make a quick visit, and it was also Abbie's Birthday Party. It was so nice to have them visit for a few days.

Sarah and Jennifer have shirts that are alike. They call them their twin shirts.

This year Kali decided to play softball. She has had a lot of fun, and learned a lot. She has played with a really nice group of girls.

The Day After Thanksgiving...

The day after Thanksgiving, we decided to go to the cemetary. We went to the Sanford Cemetary and the Manassa Cemetary. It was pretty interesting to have Grandma and Grandpa show us the headstones of relatives and share stories about them.

This is Grandpa and his parents headstone. Their names are Frank & Sadie Shawcroft.

This is a picture of Ann Shawcroft's headstone. It is important to me becaue she once said that she wanted as many of her posterity as possible named after her. So in our family we have Jennifer Ann and Abigail Ann.

Dalton was worn out after our treck to the cemetary. He was drawing a picture for me and fell asleep right in the middle of drawing it.
